        Ben Zhao has announced the release of CDlinux 0.9.0, a compact live CD with Xfce as the desktop environment: "CDlinux 0.9.0 has been released. This is a development release, considered a major step towards CDlinux 1.0. There are many changes and enhancements over the last release, including: support for 'persistent mode', auto save and restore user changes; support for printing; support for booting directly from ISO image; Samba client and printing support; support for Java; a new boot splash; a revised and more efficient package management system.
